Many cartoons are known to recreate everyday situations or scenarios by altering real-life logic, thus making the scenes look ridiculous and unpredictable. While Happy Tree Friends sometimes follows real-life logic, it is popular for turning ordinary situations into gruesome deaths and injuries which simply cannot happen in the real world.

Below are instances where characters have experienced deaths or injuries which, in real life, would have turned out very differently.

CuddlesEdit

Happy Trails Pt. 1: Window closes on Cuddles.	Would have gotten stuck in the window.	Got his head cut off by the window.
Class Act: Pushed through the door in his costume.	Would have been pushed out of the door.	Brutally pushed through the hole of his costume, turning him into a bloody mush.
Keepin' it Reel: Flippy kills Cuddles by using Flaky as a medieval flail.	Would have had Flaky's quills stuck to his face.	Got knocked out and killed.
Let It Slide: Slides into the broken water slide tunnel.	Would have had his foot cut slightly.	Got cut in half by the slide.
From A to Zoo: Eye impaled to the helium tank.	Would have had his eye come out.	Had his eye float in the air by the helium, and turned into a balloon.
Party Animal: Got his neck tied to balloons.	Would have been slightly choked. A wooden ceiling fan is too weak to slice someone.	Was lifted into the air by the balloons and got sliced up by a ceiling fan.
A Hole Lotta Love: Small pieces of glass cut his body.	Would have recieved very little if any minor cuts.	His body gets sliced to pieces by the glass.
Wingin' It: Lumpy pushes his chair into Cuddles' torso.	Would have been shanked in the stomach slightly.	Half his body got cut off.
Autopsy Turvy: Cro-Marmot gets pushed into Cuddles and Toothy.	Would have been knocked out of the way.	Got crushed by Cro-Marmot.
Strain Kringle: Impaled by his telescope when hit by a snowball.	The snowball would have possibly knocked him out of the tree.	The telescope is hit and forced through Cuddles' eye.
Easy Comb, Easy Go: Accidentally drinks hair growth formula and suffocates.	This could never happen in reality.	The hair growth formula causes hair to grow inside his body and suffocate him.
In a Jam: His body is stuffed with cotton from a recliner.	His body should have burst from that amount of cotton.	His body is turned into a recliner.

Giggles Edit

Swelter Skelter: Slides down a hot slide.	A heatwave could never get a slide to that scolding temperature.	The flesh from Giggles' buttocks is melted off by the heated slide.
Giggles Valentine Smoochie: Giggles holds her nose when she sneezes She licks an envelope and gets a paper cut on her tongue.	She would simply sneeze The paper cuts are small and heal quickly.	Her brain pops out when she blocks her nose Her tongue is cut off and she bleeds to death.
Butter Me Up: Hot butter splashes on her face.	Hot butter cannot cause her face to melt, her face would be slightly burned.	The hot butter melts her face and eye.
On My Mind: Flippy pushes a rose stem into the side of Giggles' head.	A rose stem is too weak for this and would bend.	The rose stem is poked through Giggles' brain all the way to the other side of her head.
Royal Flush: Sliced through the head by poker cards.	Would have been hit by the cards.	Sliced in numerous places, and soon it slices her into complete pieces.
All In Vein: Crushed like a soda can.	It is impossible for a person to flatten someone with just bare hands.	Lumpy flattens Giggles using only his hands.

Toothy Edit

Blast from the Past: Toothy flies into Lumpy because of the slide.	Would have went down the slide and stopped as normally.	Flew through Lumpy's torso.
Snow Place to Go: Russell pulls on his fishing rod after the hook is sent deep into Toothy's arm.	A section of flesh would have been torn off Toothy's arm.	Toothy's veins and arteries are pulled out of his body. As extra cartoonish humor, the veins scream.
Easy Comb, Easy Go: Disintegrated by the sun.	This cannot happen right away.	Toothy is disintegrated after the smoke from Disco Bear's dryer cuts a hole in the ozone layer, intensifying the sun's rays.
Ski Patrol: Lumpy pumps too much oxygen into Toothy's body trying to cure him of altitude sickness.	His organs would have burst from the overdose of oxygen.	Toothy becomes bloated, floats away like a balloon, and bursts from the pointed end of a flagpole.
We're Scrooged: Injured and killed by wind-up chattering teeth toys.	Chattery teeth toys are not capable of this type of damage.	A chattery teeth toy bites off Toothy's finger, then more of them tear him to pieces when he falls into the toy box.
Kringle Frosty: He and Sniffles are hit by Lumpy's skis.	Would have been knocked over.	Impaled by the skis.
Strain Kringle: Forced through a strainer by Cuddles' falling corpse.	Would have simply been hit without being affected by the strainer.	Toothy's body is forced through a strainer.
Star Kringle: A Christmas tree star was dropped on his head.	The star would have simply hit him.	One of the points of the star impales Toothy's head, killing him.
Eye Candy: Trips over a log, forcing a lolipop into his eye socket.	At the worst, his eye or face would have been slightly wounded.	The lolipop is stuck through his eye socket. He tries to pull it out, but it makes the optic nerve fly over a tree branch.

Lumpy Edit

Mime to Five: Eaten by killer ducks.	There are no such things as killer ducks.	Killer ducks eat him alive.
Letter Late than Never: A turtle eats him alive.	There is no turtle in the world that can eat a full-grown moose alive, or devour anything that big within a few seconds, mostly for such size.	A turtle ate him foot first and devoured him within seconds.
Wingin' It: Falls from a great height to the ground.	Would have plummeted and splattered.	Lumpy's body is shortened, with some bones sticking out of his shoulders.
Just Desert: Savagely attacked by vultures.	Vultures only eat corpses, and would occupy a dying animal until its death.	Lumpy is attacked and partly-eaten by vultures.
Happy New Year: Film strips wrap around his body.	Would have been able to rip or cut through the film strips.	The film strips slice through his body.
The Chokes on You: Falls onto a conveyor belt.	Would have fallen off when at the end of the conveyor belt.	Lumpy is turned upside down and torn to pieces when his antlers got stuck.
Home Is Where the Hurt Is: A bed falls on him.	Would have been hit by the bed.	Crushed and splattered by the bed.
By The Seat Of Your Pants: Skins himself by crawling out of a window.	He could have either just crawled out or remained stuck, depending on how easy the window can be opened and closed.	Flippy shuts the window on Lumpy waist and he tears off half his skin to escape.

Petunia Edit

I Heart U: Mime pretends to shoot a love arrow and blow a heart.	It is simply impossible for someone to be hurt this way, as the objects would only be imaginary and, therefore, nonexistent.	Petunia gets impaled by the love arrow and killed by the dotted lines of the imaginary heart.
Royal Flush: Her eye and organs are sucked out and head is filled with air by a vacuum.	The vacuum should have been more powerful to have pulled out her eye, and she should have bloated over time.	Her eye and organs get sucked out, she is bloated quickly and explodes in only seconds.

Handy Edit

There is no way a yo-yo could do this in reality Nutty would only be slightly choked and would not be able to be carried in the air.	The yo-yo grinds Nutty's crotch and eventually burns him when it combusts He is hanged and killed by the balloons after being lifted too hight to reach scissors.
Easy Comb, Easy Go: Gets impaled by a water sprinkler.	The sprinkler would have simply hit him.	The sprinkler impales his head and sprinkles out his blood.
Icy You: Stumbled into a sharp hook.	Would have hit it, maybe gotten a cut.	Bursts like a balloon because of his overweight body.
A Sight for Sore Eyes: A metal "paper" airplane flies into Nutty's eyes; the plane later hits a kite and ties the kite around Nutty.	He would have been hit by the metal plane (if it could even exist in reality). The kite's string would not be able to cut up Nutty's body, possibly it would make him fall over.	His pupils are cut off; the kite's string splits Nutty into pieces after wrapping around him.
Random Acts of Silence: Flippy puts his arm into a pencil sharpener.	It is not possible for a whole arm to fit in a pencil sharpener.	Nutty is shredded to death by the pencil sharpener.

SnifflesEdit

Various episodes where he is killed by the ants.	No type of ant could do this kind of damage - ants may eat their prey by swarming all over them, but it is very unlikely they would attack a grown anteater. However, the ants' in the series may be exempt from this due to their anthropomorphic traits.	Sniffles ends up being killed by the ants anyway.
Tongue Twister Trouble: Gets his entire tongue scratched off by a cat, then pulled into the icy water and frozen solid.	First, there is no way a cat could claw off a tongue in one swipe. Secondly, Sniffles would have drowned, it would take a long period of time for him to freeze.	The cat claws off his tongue, and he gets frozen in a block of ice.
Kringle Frosty: He and Toothy are hit by Lumpy's skis.	Would have been knocked over.	Impaled by the skis.
Wingin' It: A food cart gets tilted toward him.	Would have been hit by the food cart.	The food cart slices and crushes his body.
Tongue in Cheek: He twists his tongue and snout with the paddle.	His tongue and snout would be severely mutilated.	The paddle spins like a helicopter propeller and pulls out Sniffles' organs.
Peas in a Pod: A Pod Lumpy continuously rubs his face with a cloth, wearing off his face within a few moments.	This could not possibly happen this quickly.	Much of Sniffles' face is worn off, revealing his skull.
Moppin Up: Slips and falls on the wet mopped floor.	Would simply have slipped on the floor and only be hurt slightly.	His head cracks open.
Class Act: Nutty bites his arm off.	No one's teeth could be strong enough to bite off a complete arm. Sniffles would at least get a small bleeding.	His entire arm is bitten off.
Random Acts of Silence: Impaled by pencils from behind.	Pencils are too weak for this kind of damage. Sniffles would have just been poked, or slightly bleed, depending on how sharp the pencils were.	The pencils are forced through the back of his skull and impale his eyes.

FlakyEdit

Chew Said a Mouthful: An umbrella is sent into her body via mouth and opens up.	Her vital organs would be crushed.	Mouth and body are expanded by the open umbrella and stretched into a circle shape.
Mime to Five: Flies into Cuddles' intestines.	Flaky would have split through Cuddles' intestines.	Bisected in half by Cuddles' intestines.
Party Animal: Flaky's body and lips gets bloated from an allergic reaction to peanuts.	Flaky's body and lips would only bloat slightly. And a sharp object could not pop her like a balloon.	Her body is bloated like a balloon and then gets popped by a needle.
Flaky's Baseball Smoochie: Hit by a baseball glove hit by a ball after being electrocuted face covered by bubblegum.	Would have been slightly injured, or possibly gotten a black eye, depending on how hard it was thrown Being struck by lightning could not burn her enough to be reduced to ashes would have gotten the gum off easily. MimeEdit

Brake the Cycle: A bicycle wheel falls on him.	The wheel would have just hit him, causing bruising or at the most, a concussion.	The wheel slices him to pieces.

The MoleEdit

Easy Comb, Easy Go: Got his part of his head cut by Pop's shears.	The shears cannot cut someone's face.	His part of the face gets cut by Pop's shears.
Cub's Christmas Smoochie: Sliced to pieces by hula hoops Killed by a spinning top.	The hula hoops would have simply fallen off Spinning top could not do any damage nor spin that fast in real life.	The hula hoops spin too fast and eventually slice through Cub's body The spinning top skins and impales Cub.
Clause For Concern: Hit by a wooden door.	He would've got hit by the door and fell over. The most damage it could have caused is bruising.	Cub is smashed into the wall, splattering his organs on the wall as well.
Let It Slide: Floats near the slide when Lumpy comes down.	He would get knocked out of the way.	Gets cut in half.
A Sucker for Love: Gets a lollipop stuck to his face.	If candy gets stuck on you, it can be pulled off with little ease at all.	The lollipop is so sticky that Cub's face is ripped off with it,

RussellEdit

Whose Line Is It Anyway?: Chokes on a blowfish.	A blowfish could not fit inside the mouth of a sea otter. Secondly, blowfish can only puff up by filling their stomachs with water.	Russell swallows the blowfish, then it puffs up and chokes him.
In a Jam: Gets electrocuted by an electric guitar.	His body would have been shocked or burnt. It would take much more power for him to have disintegrated.	Russell is electrocuted and disintegrates.
Bottled Up Inside: Gets forced into a water container.	He would have hit the wall of the truck the container was in.	Russell flies into the water container and is squeezed in.

Disco BearEdit

Chew Said a Mouthful: Killed by a shaken-up can of soda.	The soda would have exploded from the can and, at the least, get Disco Bear wet.	The soda can explodes and splatters Disco Bear.
Disco Bear's Halloween Smoochie: Stepped on by dinosaurs Pulls out his skull trying to get his teeth out of a lollipop.	Putting on a caveman costume can't make dinosaurs appear suddenly He could have simply pulled out the lollipop with little ease.	Dinosaurs randomly appear and step on him His teeth get stuck in the lollipop and Disco Bear pulls out his skull.

Lifty & ShiftyEdit

Junk in the Trunk: Lifty gets impaled by a pogo stick.	A pogo stick would break from falling from that height.	The falling pogo stick bounces from the ground and impales Lifty through the head down to the buttocks.
Swelter Skelter: Killed in a frozen explosion.	Fire is just energy and, therefore, cannot be frozen in ice.	The fire from the blowtorch freezes, then burns up and causes the gas tank to explode, and the explosion freezes into pointed shards of ice.
Cheesy Does It: Shifty eats a piping hot cheese pizza.	No such pizza could be that hot. The most it could do is send burn injuries to the tongue and gums.	Shifty's upper jaw and one of his eyes are melted from the hot cheese.

FlippyEdit

Gems the Breaks: Exposed to kryptonut and vomits with disastrous results.	He wouldn't puke out his organs unless under some circumstances, nobody can die by "vomit blasts", and nobody can explode by holding their vomit (it would be swallowed). Even if this did happen, he would die as soon as he pukes out his organs. However, Splendid and the Kryptonut do have superhuman/alien traits.	Throws up his organs, kills Giggles and Petunia with his vomit blast, and explodes when he tried to hold it.
