  • This is Handy's most famous episode and death in the series.
  • This is the fifth most viewed episode in the series.
  • This is one of several episodes where a character appears alone.
  • Even though Handy has no hands, a glove can be seen on his ladder. This is pointed out in the Blurb version.

    Why are those gloves placed there?

  • This is the first episode released in 2003.
  • This is the first time a fishbowl is placed over someone's head. This will happen again in Something Fishy.
  • The YouTube thumbnails spoil the following:
    • The original episode spoils Handy's death.
    • The Blurb version spoils Handy's first injury.
  • The jingle heard at the end of the episode is re-used from Snow What? That's What!.
  • This is the first episode where Handy's death isn't caused by another main character.
  • This is the only episode before the TV series to have Handy killed by anything besides a vehicle or explosion.
  • When Handy is spitting out the glass shards from his mouth, he says something that might be "Fuck!" If he does say that, this would make him one of the four characters to swear, the others being Cuddles, Lumpy, and Flippy.

  • Warren Graff, the voice actor for Handy, was required to choke himself with water when he was doing the voice for Handy at one point in the episode. He also nearly broke the sound equipment during recording.
  • This is the first episode directed by Kenn Navarro. Ever since then, he's directed all the episodes.
  • Some recovered concept art implies that originally, instead of biting the lightbulb with his teeth and falling onto some broken glass shards of some other lightbulbs, Handy was suppose to have fallen backwards on his ladder and landed on his toolbox.
  • Despie being released first, this wasn't the first episode written by Ken Pontac, "Out on a Limb" was the first, but was released afterwards.
